d look A few weeks ago our ANA Chimgee started a project in Ash Class. We got some vegetables scraps that we were throwing away- spring onion, celery and garlic. We put them into water and ran an experiment to see if they would grow on our window in the classroom. To our surprise, they did. We looked at how they were growing each day. Before we broke up for mid-term we wanted to use our newly grown vegetables to make an omelette in the class. We helped Chimgee to make the omelette this morning and lots of people had a taste during snack time.
We then planted the celery and garlic along with the ends of the spring onion into big pots and put them in the Geo dome where they will continue to grow over the mid-term break. We really enjoyed our experiment and look forward to growing more vegetables over the next few months. If you try to grow any vegetables using this method at home please send in your photos for us to share with the class!
